Greetings, I am Ms. Leland a third year Exceptional Education Teacher at the illustrious James A. Shanks Middle School. I am originally from West Palm Beach, Florida. I later moved to Tallahassee, Florida to pursue my Baccalaureate Degree in Social Work from Florida A & M University. After working in the field I decided that I wanted to be more hands-on in the public school system, and decided to go back to school. In 2017, I graduated from Florida A& M University with a Master's in Education with emphasis in School Counseling & Mental Health. JASMS is where I accepted my first teaching position, and I am so excited that I accepted the calling. Teaching has been my passion, and most importantly helping our students reach their goals is a greater passion. I look forward to working and serving in the community for years to come.
